This SBS-modified bitumen membrane is manufactured to exacting standards. The 4mm composite construction typically consists of a reinforced polyester or fiberglass carrier saturated and coated with polymer-modified bitumen, finished with protective surfacing. It is designed for direct torch application to primed concrete, screed, or suitable insulation boards, creating a fully adhered waterproofing layer.
For optimal performance, the substrate must be clean, dry, and sound. A compatible primer is recommended. Membrane sheets are laid out, heated with a propane torch to melt the underside bitumen, and rolled into place with immediate pressure for full adhesion. Side and end laps (typically 100mm and 150mm respectively) must be thoroughly heat-welded. Always refer to the manufacturer's technical data sheet and adhere to all local safety codes and regulations during installation.
